Mrs. Alise Kennedy Mobley, of 935 W Chappell Rd, McConnells, South Carolina, departed this life on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Magnolia Manor. She was born in York County, the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Kennedy Minton and Mrs. Louise Minton.
Mrs. Mobley was educated in the public schools of York County and attended Emmett Scott High School. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and was an active member in the A & P Society.
Mrs. Mobley loved working on puzzle books and cooking, which brought joy to her family and friends. Her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Louise Kennedy Minton; seven sisters, Ms. Catherine Kennedy, Mrs. Lillie Sandifer, Ms. Ella Mae Minton, Mrs. Elizabeth King, Mrs. Margaret Gaston, Mrs. Robbie Mae Ferguson, and Mrs. Fannie Hinton; and three brothers, Mr. Thomas Minton Jr., Mr. Johnny Minton, and Mr. Willie Eddie (Buck) Minton.
Mrs. Mobley leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Mr. George H. Mobley Sr.; her children, Mr. James V. Mobley, Mr. George H. Mobley Jr. (Cynthia), and Mrs. Shernita L. Johnson (Roberte); her grandchildren, Xavier D. McFadden, Jalen M. Johnson, Jeren M. Johnson, Jerrell L. Mobley, James Z. Mobley, JaMareon M. Johnson, Kendall J. Mobley, Jordan M. Mobley, and Semaj J. Mobley; and her great-grandchildren, Raven M. Mobley, Dren A. Johnson, and ZyMir Mobley-Well. She is also survived by her sister, Ms. Willie Mae Kennedy; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Dolly M. Brown (Titus); her brother-in-law, Mr. David King; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
