Annie Lois Douglas

Mrs. Annie Lois Douglas was born on August 23, 1933 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to the late Susie Dixon. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie F. Douglas, three children: Mrs. Patricia Page Davis, Mr. Willie Douglas, Jr. and Mr. Larry Douglas and two siblings.

Mrs. Douglas was educated in the Rock Hill public schools and attended Emmett Scott School. She was employed by Winthrop College for many years where she retired in 1995. A faithful and dedicated Life Member of Rock Grove A.M.E. Zion Church, she was a member of the Women’s Home and Overseas Missionary Group, Parent Body Missionary Society, a Deaconess and Class Leader.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, one daughter, Ms. Mary Linda Caldwell of the home, one son, Mr. Maxie Jerome Douglas of Rock Hill, seven grandchildren, two whom she reared, Mrs. Recitta Askew (Royce) of Charlotte, NC and Mr. Terrence Lacelle Douglas (Angel) of Matthews, NC; ten great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
