Mrs. Annie “Ann” B. Robinson Foster, the eldest child of the late Mary Elizabeth Sanders Robinson and James B. Robinson, was born on March 20, 1953, in York County, SC. She transitioned from this earthly life on Friday, December 8, 2023. She was preceded in death by Charlie Sanders and Addie Mae Douglas Sanders who helped rear her.
Annie graduated from Lewisville High School, Richburg, SC, Class of 1971. She worked at Manetta Mills, Cone Mill, Seamless Sensation, and Terex Manufacturing Company.
Annie joined Red Oak A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age. She sang on the Red Oak Senior Choir, was secretary for the Evangelism Committee, an Usher, and the WHOM Society -Secretary of Bureau of Supply Department. Annie was a member of the Order of Eastern Star-Weeping Mary Chapter #112.
Annie was married to her sweetheart, Donald Foster, for 35 years. She leaves to cherish her memories four sons: Antonio (Crystal Mitchell)Boulware of Jacksonville, FL, James “Boosane” (Karnitba Wade) Foster of Sharon, SC, and Dion (LaToya Crockett) Foster of Richburg, SC; One daughter, Erica (Paul Jackson) Foster of Columbia, SC. Fifteen loving grandchildren: Ashley (Jonathan) Young, Ta’Nisha Stewart, Ciarra Mitchell, Jazmin Foster, Ja’MeriahFoster, ZyKemian Williams, Kayden Foster, Korey Foster, Alasha Worthy, Ambria White, Kentrell Heath, Brandon Foster, Bryce Foster, Kenya Jackson, and Khalilah Jackson. Six great-grandchildren, Knowledge Crockett, Alaiya Foster, Camarian Stewart, Jaden Brown, A’nari Stewart, and Journey Nelson. One devoted brother, James B. Robinson. Four sisters: Martha Stewart, Gloria Gladden, Deborah (Calvin) Cousar, and Helen Perry. Five aunts: Lula Mae Robinson, Claretta Davis, Mary Alice Rice, Estelle Robinson, and Jannie Robinson. Two uncles: Joe Brown and James Floyd Robinson. Two sisters-in-law: Nancy Fewell and Hayward Machelle Robinson. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Annie will be greatly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
