Annie Bell Richardson

September 27, 1939 — December 28, 2024

Annie Bell Cassell Richardson, was born on September 27, 1939 to the late Mary and Sammie Cassell. She departed this life on Saturday December 28, 2024 at her home in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She was married to the late James Heyward Richardson, and they had four children.

She was preceded in death by her son Maury Richardson, and her sister, Ruby Tolliver.

Annie, graduated from Emmet Scott High School in 1957, and worked for more than 35 years as a Nurse Tech for York General Hospital which later became Piedmont Medical Center. Annie enjoyed cooking, singing on the church choir, and in her later years, going to the Rock Hill Senior Citizen's Center, where she enjoyed socializing and playing bingo. She also loved shopping, watching TV, chatting with her friends on the phone, and hanging out with her children, grandchildren, and her grand-dog.

Annie was baptized at a young age at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church by the late Reverend Hampton, and remained a faithful member until her passing. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Board, and the Pastor's Aid Committee. Annie was also a part of a Community Cooking Crew, which provided food for families in bereavement.

Annie leaves to cherish precious memories her daughters, Beverlyn Smith (Otha) of York, SC; Stacy Rawlinson (Lynn), of Rock Hill SC; and her son Rodney Richardson, of the home; one sister, Johnsie Cheatham (James) of Brooklyn NY; three grandchildren, Beverlyn Michelle Smith, of Lugoff SC; Otha Lee Smith, Jr. (Shantel) of Atlanta GA; Samantha Vaughn (Justin) Burlington, NC; three great-grandchildren, DeJhan Smith, of York, SC;

Micah & Max Smith of Atlanta GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
