Billy "Meatball" Dixon

Mr. Billy “Meatball” Dixon of Rock Hill, South Carolina was born in Chester, South Carolina on October 23, 1955, the son of the late Edward Dixon and Elizabeth Gist Dixon.

Billy graduated from Chester High School, Class of 1973. After graduating from high school, he pursued a career as a truck driver for over 40 years.

Billy was a great father and wonderful Paw Paw to Hampton, Grayson, Hamilton, Haley, Carter, and great-niece Jada.

Billy enjoyed watching football and old western movies. Billy will be remembered for the laughter, love, and memories he left in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Dixon and Elizabeth Gist Dixon, and brothers Edward Dixon Jr. and John Willie Dixon.

Billy leaves a lifetime of love and memories to his family, daughter, Tanjie Dixon Woods (Hamp) of Charlotte NC; son, Javor Dixon (Crystal) of Spartanburg SC; daughter, Chakia Dixon of Chester SC; and wife for forty years, Carolyn Dixon; siblings, Shirley A. Dixon of Rock Hill SC, Betty J. Dixon, Doris M. Dixon, Catherine Williams (Robert Williams), Robert L. Dixon (Lelia), Napoleon Dixon, and Georgia Rambert all of Chester, SC; five grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members, and caring friends.
