Billy Antonio Nash, son of Mattie Louise Nash-Hall and the late Billy Hayes, was born on January 11, 1968, in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
He received his education in the public schools of Rock Hill, where he developed a strong foundation for his character.
From an early age, he became a proud member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and occasionally attended Saint Mary Catholic Church. In 2025, he made the heartfelt decision to rededicate his life to Christ, an inspiring testament to his faith and commitment.
Billy dedicated many years to working at Saltwater Seafood as a fish cutter and later served as a maintenance worker at McDonald's. He was a remarkable son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives.
Before his health challenges, he embraced life by riding his bike throughout Rock Hill, South Carolina. He found joy in gospel music, cherished moments spent watching television, and savored good food.
On May 11, 2025, Billy peacefully answered the Master’s call in Rock Hill, SC. Though his voice may be silenced on earth, we take comfort in knowing that the angels are rejoicing as he joyfully sings, “Heaven Bound.”
Billy is survived by his daughter, Jessica Smalls, and his grandson, M.J. Ulmer, both of whom reside in Charleston, South Carolina. His legacy continues through his five remarkable sisters: Gwendolyn Brice (Warren), Bonita Montgomery, Barbara Nash, Kanetra Nash-Reid (Felipe), and Melody Shepherd (Shawn). He is also survived by two brothers, Stephen Coble and Billy Coble, as well as his devoted bonus mom, Tina Coble, stepsister Sheila Hall, and stepbrother William Hall Jr. Additionally, he is cherished by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, a special friend, Adrienne Wherry, and bonus daughters: Samantha Wherry and Aleecia Wherry, and all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
