Obituary

Camariya Ja’Niya “Cee-Cee” Tidwell, affectionately known as “Juicy,” transitioned to be with her Heavenly Father on May 16, 2026. She was born on August 6, 2006, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to Shifarnia “Fonda” L. McCullough and Christopher L. Tidwell.

Camariya attended South Pointe High School and graduated in 2025. She was a quiet, kind, and loving young lady with a joyful spirit. She enjoyed reading books, playing games, traveling with her family, and spending time with her best friend her baby dog Chukie. Among the many memories shared with her family, Camariya especially enjoyed tea time with her paternal grandmother during her younger years — a simple tradition filled with love, laughter, and special moments that will always be treasured.

Camariya possessed a humble personality and a contagious smile that brightened the lives of those around her. Though reserved in nature, she was deeply loved and will be remembered for her innocence, sense of humor, calm and empathetic nature, and kindness. She will forever be known for her laugh, smile, quick wit, and love for practical jokes that brought joy and laughter to those around her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Camariya was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John Cloud, Gloria “Jean” McCullough, Ben McCullough and Nancy McCullough; Arthur “Snoop” Hope and Emily Hope; and Green McCullough and Emily McCullough. She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Sadie Tidwell; her aunts, Emily McCullough, Patricia Cloud, Gloria Cousar, Martha Blackmon, Arthur Mae Falls, Dorothy Allen, and Rosa Wylie; and her uncles, Michael Grier Jr., Green McCullough Jr., and Samuel Hardy.

Camariya leaves to cherish her precious memories her mother, Shifarnia McCullough; her father, Christopher Tidwell; her brother, Caleb Tidwell; and her sisters, Laquaya Tidwell. She is survived by her paternal grandfather, Joe Tidwell Jr.; grandmother, Mary Wilmore; her aunts, Ja'Vale “Peaches” Grier and Shanell Grier of Gastonia, North Carolina, Shirley Walker (Jerry) and Andrea McCullough of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Jeanette Hall and Bessie Hope (Julius) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Noora Moore of Baltimore, Maryland, Jackie Whitlock (Levi), Janice Duncan, Deloris Cloud, and Sadie Morrison; and her uncles, Robert “Man” Cloud (Jackie), Bobby Lee Cloud, James Cloud (Cassandra), Roy Cousar, Steven Caldwell, and Rodney Ragsdell. She also leaves behind her nephews, Camden Tidwell, Caleed Tidwell, Kyrie Menefee, and Kyro Burris; and her nieces, Nyomi Brown and Cy’Mora Tidwell. She also leaves behind special cousins, Tynisha McCullough (Derek), D’Andrea McCullough (DerNell), Jada McCullough, Jordan McCullough, Ty’Asia McCullough (Bobby), JaMya McCullough (Elijah), Amani McCullough, Heaven and Nevaeh White, and Dynasty and Latajia Hope, along with a host of cousins whom she loved and cherished dearly. Camariya was also blessed with many special aunties and uncles, including Zedricke and Sonya Knox, Barbara Nash, Sharon Davis, Marjeana Lightfoot, Ashley Elwell, Jameka Leaks, Lasheral Odom, Christopher Sibley, and Melvin McCullough Jr.

She will be lovingly remembered by her special friends, Damaiya Jackson, Shamone Dewese, and Niya Menefee, as well as her beloved dog, Chuckie.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered. Though her earthly journey was brief, Camariya’s gentle spirit, kind heart, and beautiful smile will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
