Mr. Charles Edward "Bojab" Byers, 64, of Rock Hill, SC departed this life on May 4, 2026. Born on November 29, 1961, to Peggy Byers Thompson and Billy Isom in York County, SC.

Charles moved to Ontario, California at an early age. He attended Ontario High School where he was an avid baseball player. After high school, he continued playing baseball at Chaffey College, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Upon returning to Rock Hill, he continued to play baseball with a local baseball team.

He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Charles was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church where he was a member of the Mt. Pilgrim Men's Choir. His favorite songs to sing were "If I Had A Hammer" and

"Every Praise."

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Heath Byers.

Charles leaves behind to cherish his memories, his one and only daughter, Tandra Byers; his mother, Peggy Byers Thompson; his father, Billy Isom; his brother, Perry Byers; his niece, Tanjree Byers; six aunts, Jerleen Alexander (Jimmy), Patricia Byers, Shirley Ann, and Patricia, all of Rock Hill, SC; Mamie McCrorey of Ontario, CA and Monzelle of New York; two uncles, Jocepheus Byers (Pauline) of Rock Hill, SC and Russell Veney of Warsaw, VA; four bonus children, Latarra Hensley, Aontre Heath, Tierra Heath and Adolphus Teah; mother-in-law, Peggy Heath; brothers-in-law, Johnnie Heath (Catherine), Michael Heath(Jackie), Oran Heath; sisters-in-law, Fredonia Heath, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
