Daisy Lee Archie Welch Stewart

Mrs. Daisy Lee Archie Stewart was born April 4, 1941 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to the late James Archie and Willie Scott Archie. Daisy went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025. In addition to her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Stewart, and her brother James Archie, Jr.

Daisy was reared by her grandparents, Clarence and Daisy Scott, while her mother worked in New York. At an early age, Daisy attended Pineville and St. Matthew A.M.E. Zion Churches. Daisy graduated in 1959 from Emmett Scott High School. After graduation, she moved to New York to live with her mother and joined Rising Star Baptist Church in Jamacia, NY. Daisy worked several different jobs in New York including a Sleep-in but retired as a court stenographer. After the passing of her husband, she moved back to Rock Hill and faithfully attended St. Matthew A.M.E. Zion Church until her health no longer permitted.

Daisy leaves to cherish her memory one son, Reginald Epps, of Jamaica, New York, two nieces, Charlene Archie and Stephanie Arnold of Charlotte, North Carolina; Care-takers, Willie Archie (Dorothy), Phyllis Archie Twyman (James); Caregivers, Lisa McNeil and Martha Jones and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
