Danny Calvin Lindsay

Danny Calvin Lindsay entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2025, at his home. Born in Rock Hill, SC on May 13, 1953 to the late John Henry Lindsay and Annie Ruth Sanders Lindsay.

Danny gave his life to Christ at an early age and became a faithful and dedicated member to Nazareth Baptist Church. Following graduation from Rock Hill High School, he began his military career in 1973.

Staff Sergeant Danny Lindsay proudly served for twenty years in the U.S.

Army and Army Reserves, his assignments included but not limited to Rock Hill, SC, York, SC and various locations across Europe. His dedication and service were recognized through numerous awards and decorations including the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Non-Commission Officer Professional Development Ribbon, and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal. He also worked at Celanese for 21 years.

Danny was well known and loved by all. He had such a big loving heart filled with compassion. He would give anyone in need the shirt off of his back. He had a great sense of humor and his favorite saying was, "stay in one spot, you get caught." The love of his life was his mom and he missed her dearly. Heaven truly gained an angel.

Danny leaves to cherish fond memories, wife, Shirley A. Lindsay: three children, Charles Gist, Angela Fromberger (Wesley), and Amber Stokes (Gavin); two brothers, John Lindsay, Jr (Linda), James Hinton; a special nephew, that was raised in the house with him, Freddie Lindsay; one sister, Shirley Ann Lindsay; eight brothers-in-law, and six sisters-in-law, three bonus children; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three uncles, James Lindsay, Jerry Lindsay, and Leroy Jones; two aunts, Julia Jones Barnette (Lorenzo), Barbara Jones McConnell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
