David Daniel “5 Stacks” Mickel Jones, Iii

David Daniel Mickel Jones III, 51, was born on April 26, 1974, in Rock Hill, SC, to David Mickel Jr and Hatti Adams (James).

David entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at

Carolina Medical Center - Charlotte, NC.

David was united in holy matrimony to Blossom Mickel for 19 years.

David graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1992. He attended Florida State and York Technical College. He was employed by Sealed Air.

He was affectionately known as Stacks for his love of cooking and his pop-up shops. He enjoyed singing, golfing, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to the many friends and loved ones who mourn his passing, he is survived by his loving wife, Blossom Mickel. Two sons, Darius and O'Brian Ingram, a granddaughter, Brielle Ingram, and a goddaughter, Taraji Cunningham. Four sisters, Angela Jones Huntley (Michael), Andrea Jones, Trina Jones, and Tanya Mickel-Cunningham (William). He is also leaving behind two sister-in laws, Tinko Curry and April Prince (Nicholas), who adored him like a brother. Among those mourning his passing are his cherished pets, August and Bentley, who were constant sources of unconditional love and laughter. Dave was a proud member of DA CREW-a tight-knit brotherhood of friends who were the brothers he never had. Their bond was unbreakable, their stories unforgettable.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Mickel Jr, and brother-in-law, Jason Curry
