Doris "Dot" Hoyles Earle Mccloud

Ms. Doris "Dot" Hoyles Earle McCloud , 73, of 163 McFadden Street, Rock Hill, South Carolina. She was born on April 18, 1950, in York County, SC to the late Robert Hoyles, Sr. and the late Cora Lee Wilson Hoyles. She departed this life on Friday, November 3, 2023.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Woody L. McCloud; her brothers, Owen Pickette, Frazier Lee Hoyles, Theodore Hoyles and Robert Hoyles, Jr.

Doris was educated in Rock Hill Public Schools. As a young child she joined Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. She worked in childcare for over 50 years, providing unconditional love and attention to lots of children. She loved to cook and loved kids and her family.

Doris leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Theresa R. Earle and Solomon J. Earle, both of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Alexander (AJ) Boyd, So'Darus Clark, and So'Mya Earle all of Rock Hill, SC; one great-grandchild, Asonn A. Boyd; special children she reared, Keyanna, Danaya, Josiah, Kameron, Katilyn, Landen, Connor, and Landon; brothers, Micheal R. Hoyles (Robin) of Rocky Mount, NC and Clifford B. Hoyles; sisters: Margaret Pickett, Gene Silva (Stewart) of Baltimore, MD, Janie Mae Minor and Anna Faye Barnett (Olin); brother-in-law: Thomas McCloud; sisters-in-law, JosePhus Hoyles (Frazier) of Winston Salem, NC, Pearline McCloud, Doris Murdock, Linda Brice all of Rock Hill, and JoAnn Corbin of Richmond, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends: Mary Louise Davis, Sabrina Heath, Rachel Massey, Krystal McCullough, Kim Reid, Donnetta Smith, Ms. Sadie, and very special neighbors.
