Edward Sutton

Mr. Edward Sutton of 231 Cinda Street, Fort Mill, South Carolina entered eternal rest on June 18, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. He was born February 1, 1945 to the late Nannie Givens Sutton and James Hankster Sutton.

He joined James Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. He later attended Jerusalem Baptist Church until his health declined.

Edward married Thelma J. Long on January 1, 1985. He enjoyed playing checkers, reading, watching the Price Is Right, and taking care of his precious pets, “T-Bone” and “One Penny”. He also loved working in his yard and watching his favorite football team the Carolina Panthers on Sunday evenings.

Edward attended George Fish High School in Fort Mill, SC. He worked for Allied Moving Company and Mayflower Moving until he retired in 1995.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Sutton, sisters, Sadie H. White, Sallie Spratt, Ruth Peay Thompson and Maggie Pressley.

Edward leaves to cherish his memories, nephew and caretaker, Terry J. White (Jearldeen) of Fort Mill, SC, Jeffrey A. White, Sr. (Vonshesca) of Rock Hill, SC, Roger O.
