Emma Davis Dunlap was born on November 4, 1957, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to the late Nash Davis, Jr. and Mary Duncan Davis. She peacefully departed this life on August 18, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family and friends.
Emma was a proud graduate of Rock Hill High School, Class of 1975, where she ran track and participated in ROTC. She had a passion for working in her yard and decorating, always finding joy in creating beauty around her.
At an early age, Emma accepted Christ and joined Flint Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir.
In later years, she attended Catawba Chapel AME Zion Church, where she remained a faithful worshiper.
She leaves to cherish her memory three devoted daughters: Sheneca Dunlap, Shaquana Dunlap, and Shalonda; six beloved grandchildren: Jaquan, Sierra, Marina, Za'Mine, Da'Marcus, and Marks; and five precious great-grandchildren: Arriana, Melanie, Camryn, and Harmony.
Emma is also survived by three brothers: Nash Davis III, James Jennings, and Frank Jennings; one sister: Cathy Davis; two loving aunts: Elizabeth Taylor and Doshia Jones (Maceo); one uncle: Bill Davis (Elsie); and a close nephew, Xavier Davis. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and children in love who were all deeply touched by her life.
