Mrs. Estelle Pearson Robinson of Rock Hill, South Carolina passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024. She was born on July 19, 1938 in Chester, South Carolina. The family moved later to Rock Hill. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Minnie) Pearson. After the death of her mother, her Aunt Theodora “Babe” and Uncle Atlas McCullough raised her and her brothers, John, Willie, and James “Buddy” Pearson.
Estelle was married to Charles Edward “Beauty” Robinson, who preceded her in death in September, 1998. Also, preceding her in death were their daughter, Charlene Robinson; brothers, John Pearson, Willie Pearson, and James “Buddy Pearson; brothers-in-law, Elliot Pettus, Hayward L. Robinson Jr., Earnest Robinson, and Marion Robinson; sisters-in-law, Gracie Pearson, Mary M. Robinson and Betty R. Brown.
Estelle was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend to many people. She was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church and a graduate of Emmett Scott High School. Her work experience included being a cook at several restaurants. She retired from the Minute Grill. Often, she served as a caterer for events.
Her community involvement included being a member of Living Beauty Temple #709 of Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World. In the Lodge, she served as a trustee, member of the Mabel L. Green Fez Club, and a member of the Past Grand Daughter Ruler’s Council. She represented the Elk at the local and state level as a winner in many of the Queen’s contests for several years. She received several certificates of appreciation and service.
Estelle leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Mildred P. Logan and Cassie Robinson-Gray (Bill Gray); sons, Bryant L. Gore, Christopher Sanders (Yvonne), and Derrick Moise; grandchildren, O’Bryant Hall, Marion Leon Logan Jr. (Shokia), Maxwell D’Von Robinson-Gray, Mathew Charles Robinson-Gray (Cassie), Donasia Moise, and Demarco Moise; great grandchildren, Isaiah Desantis, Autumn Breedon, Marion Leon Logan III, Leah Noel Logan, Brayden Leon Logan, and Rhemington Kaison Robinson-Gray; her sister, Mrs. Clara Pearson Pettus; sisters-in-law, Margaret Pearson, Lula M. Robinson and Jannie Robinson; brother in-law, James Floyd Robinson; nephews, Dewey Pearson, Reginald Scottie Pearson (Rhonda), John Pearson, Michael Pearson, and Donald Foster; nieces, Audrey Pearson, Tiffany Pearson, Micheon Pearson, Hayward Michelle Robinson, Tonya Robinson, Mary Jamila Brown, and Miriam Brown; a dear cousin, Anna McCullough McMillan, and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
