Frazer “Chebo” Crawford, Jr.

Mr. Frazer Crawford, Jr., better known as “Chebo”, of 226 Epting Street, Rock Hill, South Carolina, was born on March 3, 1936, the son of the late Frazer Crawford and Katherine Walton. He departed this life on October 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his be-loved wife, Annie Wise Crawford, and his son, Pernell Frazier Crawford.

Frazer attended Emmett Scott High School and then joined the United States Army in 1953. He received many certificates and awards during his army career and completed two tours in Vietnam. He served his country for twenty years and retired in 1973 with an Honorable Discharge. After his discharge from the Army, he attended York Technical College, where he received a two-year degree in air conditioning and refrigeration, as well as a degree in Business Administration. Frazer retired from Rockwell, Inc.

Frazer was a proud member of New Hope United Methodist Church, where he served as a Trustee on the Usher Board, and was a member of the Finance Committee. He attended Sunday School, he was an Acolyte, and the Church Custodian. Some would say “we didn’t know what we would do without Mr. Crawford at church.” Frazer was a member of VFW Post#3746 and the Rock Hill Scott-ites. He was a former member of the default American Legion.

Frazer was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Crawford, George “Pete” Walton, and Bobby Walton; sisters, Katheline “Kate” Gordon, Lynn Clark, Virginia Ann Walton, Dorothy Thomas and Doretha Berry.

Frazer leaves to cherish fond memories, his daughters, Rowena E. Crawford and Cathy M. Crawford; grandchildren whom he helped rear, Malik Crawford and Alana Nesmith, and grandson, Tyler Williams; great-grandchildren, Amais and Prayer Crawford; sister, Janice Simril; a very close uncle, Emorie Walton; sisters-in-law, Gail Walton, Linda Walton, Mary Jo Blount, Eyvonne Bryant, and Louise Wise; his loving caregivers, Penny Dixon and Deserae Leach; and a a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
