Harold Gene White, Sr., 80, departed this life on Saturday, August 15th, 2026. He was born January 13, 1946, in Rock Hill, SC, to the late John White, Sr. and Pearlena Barnette White. Forever in our hearts, he was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

At an early age, Harold joined Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. His favorite gospel song that he performed on many occasions was "Three Pictures of the Lord." He attended Emmett Scott High School and was blessed to be able to attend the school reunion in 2025. It was truly a highlight for him.

An avid lover of the arts, Harold took pride in sketching and drawing portraits. He was a gifted musician, playing the keyboard and piano. Like so many members of his family, Harold was gifted with a melodic singing voice. He passed this talent on to his children. His last occupation was being a skilled barber. Harold was able to use his artistic skills customizing requested haircuts and styles. He followed in the footsteps of his father, who also was a barber for many years. Harold last barbered with one of his good friends, Willie "Bruh" Sawyer.

Despite many physical and social challenges, by the grace of God, Harold persevered and experienced a dramatic change in his life. He was able to enjoy family and friends on a deeper level. He realized the grace and mercy of God and was thankful for the things in life once taken for granted. His children and family provided stability, love and faith that allowed Harold to live peacefully to the end with no complaints.

Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his older brother, John White, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Connie White, who was his spouse; his daughter Kimberly White Roberts (Lavalle) of Charlotte, NC, son Stanford Mitchell (Felisha) of Ontario, California, son Dwayne Harris, of Baltimore, Maryland, son Harold White, Jr. (Towon) of Rock Hill with whom he resided, son Jeffrey Moore, Florida; sixteen loving grandchildren and thirty- five great grandchildren; three sisters, Lula Mae Ross (Melvin, deceased) of Rock Hill, SC, Gladys Scott (Clyde, Sr.) of Mocksville, NC, devoted sister Wanda Kay Canty (James) of Rock Hill, SC, and brother Leonard White (Mary Bernessa) of Simpsonville, SC; two aunts Zorado White and Victoria White both of Columbus, Ohio; cherished members of the family, Mary Henderson and Hester Addison, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and his love for his family
