Henrietta Wright Jones

Mrs. Henrietta Wright Jones was born on October 19, 1955, in Rock Hill, South Carolina to the late Robert and Alberta Wright. She was preceded in death by four siblings Ellean Wright, JamesRoseboro, Janie Roseboro, Robert Lewis, niece Shakira Hardin, and nephew Bobby “Rayshawn” McCrorey.

Mrs. Jones attended public schools in Rock Hill, South Carolina and worked for 30+ years as a nursing assistant and caretaker. Over the years she has had many accomplishments including awards for her alluring penmanship. She received an award from the City of Rock Hill for her poem “Listen at Them Cry.” She also received an offer to write lyrics for multiple record companies. She enjoyed the love of being in the kitchen and being a part of change in her community. She showed this by serving as the leader of the pantry ministry at Flint Hill Baptist Church and feeding the homeless every month with the Alberta Wright Foundation. She also enjoyed traveling with family and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her children Kiayanna Freeman (Adrian) of Rock Hill, SC, John Hart (Cheryl) of Jacksonville, FL, and Kimberly Hart of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Josalyn Hart, Aubrey Hart, Cameron Freeman, Nala Frazier, and Taylor Hart, siblings, Bobbie Mae Hardin (Tommy), James Robert Wright, Willie Archie (Dorothy), Joe Nathan Wright, Larry Donnell Wright, Eddie Lee Wright (Adrienne), Betty Witherspoon (Tim), Kenneth Stafford Wright (Fontella), Carla Denise Wright (Jerome), Shameka Jallow,William Robinson, and LaTara Barber all of Rock Hill, SC; dear friends Cecelia Witherspoon, Diane Cunningham, Shirley Hall;and a host of nieces, nephews, countless cousins, and other loving relatives and friends near and dear to her heart.
