Horace Donnell "Spence" Stinson

Mr. Horace Donnell "Spence" Stinson, 70, of Catawba, SC was born on September 12, 1953 to the late Willie Leslie and late Sallie Roddey Stinson.  He departed this life on August 24, 2024 at his residence.

He attended Hillcrest Elementary School and Emmett Scott High School.  He was a resident of Sumter and Chester, South Carolina for many years.  He was known as the family phone operator communication specialist.

Precious memories remain with those who loved him are his son, Tony D. Stinson of Spartanburg, SC; one daughter, Cynthia McCrorey (Damereo) of Richburg, SC; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother, W.T. Stinson (Gloria) of Rock Hill, SC; four sisters, Shirley Wallace (David), Pansy Mackin (Robert) both of Charlotte, NC, Thelma Bradley (James) and Gisele Wilson both of Catawba, SC; one sister-in-law, Linda Stinson of Charlotte, NC; a longtime companion, Barbara Simons of many years; special friends, Frank McClurkin, Chris Stevenson and Calvin Cousar and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
