James W. Miller

Mr. James W. Miller was born April 2, 1938, passed away on September 5, 2025. He was the son of the late Eloise Durham King and Andy Miller.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Mae Whitney and brother, William C. “Iceman” Miller.

JW attended the public schools of York County. He was a lifelong member of First Calvary Baptist Church. He was a jack of all trades who put his heart his in a lot of activities. When he was able, he loved riding his bike, and in later years he liked going fishing with his brother Sammie. He also liked dancing and “doubling it up!”

He is survived by three brothers, Willie “June” Miller of Pahokee, Florida, Sammie Miller (Teresa) of Rock Hill, SC, Chinese King (Martha) of Rock Hill, SC; one sister, Zack Walker (Greg) of Rock Hill, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
