Ms. Kathy Le’on Hart “Bird”, 69, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, peacefully departed this life at her home on July 24, 2026.
Born in York County, South Carolina, Kathy also attended school there. When her health permitted, she faithfully attended Nazareth Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy was caring for those she loved.
Kathy found happiness in cooking for her family and lovingly caring for her mother. In her leisure time, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching The Price Is Right, and following her a favorite soap operas. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring heart, and the love she so freely shared with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. J.C. Hart; sister, Bobbie Ann Hart; niece, Rosetta L. Hart; and grandmothers, Ms. Nora Hinton Roseboro and Gevena Ware Hart.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her loving mother, Veola Roseboro Hart of Rock Hill, SC; her sister, Gevena Hart Miller (Curtis) of Rock Hill, SC; her brother, John H. Hart (Michelle) of Columbia, SC; aunts, Tine Roseboro Gordon (David) and Doris Hinton of Rock Hill, SC; uncles, Robert Roseboro (Vergil) and David Roseboro of SC; special niece and devoted caregiver, Tina R. Hart of Rock Hill, SC; Kathy also shared a special bond with her nieces, Teresa, Latonya, Tawana of Rock Hill, SC and Candance Hart of Columbia SC; her nephews, Tony, Frederick, Tawan, Marquis, and Darius of Rock Hill SC; and Christopher Hart of Lexington SC along with two great-nieces that she help raise, NiAsia and Lemeisha Hart of Rock Hill SC and great-nephew, Mekhi and Kayden Hart; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Kathy’s gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and kind heart will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
