LeJuan Alexander McCullough was born on February 26, 1972. He transitioned peacefully to his eternal home, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. At a young age, Juan joined Harmony United Methodist Church in Edgemoor, South Carolina.

Juan was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Asja’ Alexandria McCullough; his father, Alexander “Tacky” McCullough; his mother, Ada McCullough; his paternal grandparents, Simpson McCullough and Florence “Flossie”McCullough; and his maternal grandparents, Lola Dunham and Tomasene Dunham.

Juan was a proud Rock Hill High School Bearcat and graduated with the Class of 1990. While attending Rock Hill High School, he was one of the founders of Omega Phi Gamma Fraternity, Inc., which was created to provide outreach, mentorship, and encouragement to young Black men in the community. His desire to uplift others and make a positive difference was evident even at a young age. After graduation, he began working at Springs Industries before pursuing his passion for barbering. He attended Magnum Barber and Styling School, where he perfected his craft and began a career that would positively impact countless lives. He served the community as a barber at Shabazz Barber & Styling for over 25 years before continuing his career at Headline Designs Beauty & Barber for 6 years. More than just a barber, he built lasting friendships with everyone who sat in his chair.

Juan had a deep love for sports and enjoyed watching football, baseball, and basketball. He was a devoted Houston Texans fan and looked forward to cheering on his favorite team each season.

Above all, he treasured his family. He loved family gatherings and was truly the life of every celebration. Whether he was DJing at a family function, dancing, telling jokes, or making everyone laugh, his presence brought joy to every room. He had an unforgettable smile that could light up any space, and his laughter was contagious. His warm spirit, quick wit, and genuine love for people made him someone others naturally gravitated toward. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome.

Juan leaves to cherish his memories his loving sister, Trina Nicole McCullough of Fort Mill, South Carolina; his aunt, Mattie Mae Agurs; his aunt, Loretta Barnes (Jimmy); his aunt, Landra Dunham (Freddy), all of Rock Hill, South Carolina; his uncle, William Dunham (Gwen) of Catawba, South Carolina; his uncle, Rolland Dunham (Annette) of York, South Carolina; his uncle, Craig Dunham (Brenda) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; his great-aunt, Pearline McLendon (Robert) of Charlotte, North Carolina; his great-aunt, Lilly White of Rock Hill, South Carolina; along with a host of beloved cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his love and friendship.

Juan’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness. His smile, humor, generosity, and joyful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his memory will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched and the love he shared so freely. He cherished his family above all else and believed that family was everything.
