Mrs. Mattie Hart McCrorey was born January 18, 1980, in York County, South Carolina, to the late Freddie Heath and Shirley Hart. She transitioned into her New Life on January 1, 2024.
Mattie H. McCrorey known as "Tootsie Roll," was educated in the public school system of York County School District where she graduated in 1998.
Those who knew "Tootsie Roll", knew she loved her family and friends so much. She loved to make people laugh, enjoyed listening to music and loved to dance. One of her favorite songs to dance to was "It's Time for the Percolator" She loved cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren and growing in her new career as an assistant property manager.
She was a member of Weeping Mary Baptist Church, where She accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior. She was passionate about her personal relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Heath.
Tootsie Roll leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Eric "Pie" McCrorey of the home, her two daughters, Jasmine S. Hart (Concord, NC), Jordan S. McCrorey and her son, Eric McCrorey Jr;, her two grandchildren, Miracle Henry and Kha'leigh McCrorey, her mother Shirely Hart, three sisters, Tonya Hart of Greenville, SC, Shannell Hart and Felisha Hart, five brothers, Andre Hart (Sheri) of High Point, NC, Rodney Hart (Nedra), Cory Clark of Chester, SC, Keyan Clark of Chester, SC and Freddie McCoy of Gastonia, NC and host of nieces, nephews, aunts, an uncle, cousins and friends.
