Mr. Mazell “Honey Pig” Neal of 346 Hampton Street, Apt. 103 Rock Hill, SC, quietly, gently, and peacefully transitioned from this earthly realm to his eternal reward on Friday, April 18, 2025. He was born to the late Mattie Bell “MaTube” Walker Neal and James “PaTube” Neal in Chester County, SC on March 29, 1933.
He was preceded in death by his brother James “Nuddy” Neal, Jr. Sisters, Mattie Mae “Tiny” Neal Hart, Maggie Dell “Love” Neal, and Willie Ester “Gail” Neal Minor.
He was educated in the Chester and York County school system. He worked for Springs Mill Plant in Fort Mill, SC. He worked at the Rock Hill School District with various schools and retired from Rock Hill City Hall.
Honey Pig enjoyed having parties at his home, going to parties, having cookouts at his home, and spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for cooking, especially baking cakes and pies. He also loved to watch The Young & The Restless, and The Bold and Beautiful so he could talk about them with two of his nieces. Do not tell anyone but their names are Maggie Roseborough and Susie Hall.
Mazell leaves to cherish his fond memories, two daughters Claudette Reid-Wilson (Otis) and Darlene Mills; two grandchildren, Eric R. Reid (Marlene) of Oak Harbor, Washington, and Claudetris “Sally” Reid-Campbell (Sheldon) of Rock Hill, SC; three great-grandchildren, Dejah Reid of Rock Hill, SC, Niyah Reid, and Xavier Reid of Oak Harbor Washington; Honorable mention Pastor Patricia Moore, Bobby “Bug” Davis, Bobby and Gloria McCrorey, Tay Joseph, Thomas Walker, Robert “Coo-Coo” Star and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
