Minnie Doretha Mann

July 20, 1945 — January 29, 2026

Miss Minnie Doretha Mann was born July 20, 1945 in York County, SC to the late Willie A. Mann and the late Lula Bell Moore Mann. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Piedmont Medical Center.

Miss Mann graduated from Emmett Scott High School in 1964 and retired from West Marine as a Packer in the Shipping Department.

She was mother to the late Ronnie Antonio (Terry) Mann, and reared her nephew Verno Campares “Camp” Moffatt, as well as maintaining a constant presence in the rearing of his son, Iabris “Bris” Adams’. Known as “Miss Minnie” and “Minnie Mann,” she was loved by her coworkers, neighbors, and many friends, who always described her as funny, direct, and giving. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, unless they lost! Her “wit,” laughter, and strong “come-backs” will be missed.

Reared in a Christian home, she came to know Christ at a young age. She was baptized and has been a member of New Zion Baptist Missionary Baptist Church all her life.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Ronnie Antonio (Terry) Mann, brothers, Willie A. Mann, Curtis L. Mann, and Hubert A. Mann.

Miss Mann leaves to cherish her memories, seven grandchildren, Ronterrius Mann Walls, Antonio Mann, Dewan Pickett, Robert Williamson, JaNea Mann, Brittany Massey, and LaChandra Massey; her siblings, Peggy J. Health (Oran-deceased) Rock Hill SC, Mary E. Jones (Herbert-deceased) Las Vegas NV, James A. Mann (Ruby) Rock Hill SC, Robert L. Mann (Bessie) Richburg SC, David S. Mann (Diane-deceased) Rock Hill SC, Carl M. Mann (Dorothy) Leslie SC; sister-in-law, Mahaley Mann (Hubert-deceased) and her caregiver and niece, Phyllis Mann Fickling. Her legacy lives on with her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
