R. Michelle Lowery, 74, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. She was born on March 27, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Michelle pursued her education in Boston, Massachusetts, where she attended college and later proudly worked in the United States Armed Forces from 1976 to 1981. After her military service, Michelle moved to the South, where she married and began building a life centered around her family, faith, service, and community.

Michelle later began her career with the York County sheriff’s Department for 20+ years, where she worked as a records clerk. She was known for her dedication, dependability, and willingness to help others.

Michelle had many passions and hobbies that brought her joy. She loved crocheting, coaching sports, and serving for many years on the Usher Board. Above all, Michelle was devoted to her children. She was their biggest supporter, always showing up and cheering them on whenever they played sports. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand and was someone her family and friends could count on.

Michelle leaves to cherish her memory her children, Taunya Brogden (husband Reginald Williams), Anthony Lowery (Kaitlyn, Parker, Bentley, Brielle), and Jasmin Lowery (Jade, RJ, Ramez, Jaleah), and her bonus daughters, Keyona Lowery (Troy Scott Jr), Amy Wallace, and Lamanda Wallace along with extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched throughout the years. Special thank you to Lori Crawford and Juliet Davis for being her best friend/sister.

Michelle will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, strength, and unwavering support of the people she loved. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Rest peacefully, Michelle. Your love, kindness, and legacy will live on.
