Rev. Dr. John David Brown, III was born in Gastonia, NC, to the parents of John David Brown, Jr. and Barbara Glover Brown.

Rev. Dr. John David Brown, III was an ordained Baptist, A.M.E. Zion and Non-Denominational Minister. He attended Limestone College in Gaffney, SC where he obtained his Bachelor of Science. He also held a Master of Religious Arts in Christian Psychology. a Doctorate of Sacred Literature as well as a graduate of Triune Professional Association obtaining a certification in Christian Counseling. 

John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy M. Brown, daughter Jasmine Brown, his sisters, Robin Brown of Tampa, Florida; Cassandra Rolle-McGirt (Eugene), Trinese Corley (Stephen) of Miami, Florida; brothers Eric Brown of Jersey City, New Jersey, Darryl Brown of Miami, Florida, and a sister-in-law Maxine McFarlane of Pembroke Pines, Florida and a host of other relatives and friends.
