On June 11, 2026, our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Rhonda Diane Roach, transitioned peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born to the late Julia Mae Roach and Thomas Roach, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved nephew, William Jordan.

She leaves behind her siblings to cherish her loving memory: Fannie Mack of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Thomas Roach (Louise), Margaret Jordan, Cornelius Roach, Gladys Hall (Willie George), and Larry Roach, all of Rock Hill, South Carolina. She also leaves behind her devoted niece, Deborah Jordan, who was more like a sister, and her great-nieces, Courtney McMoore and Avery McCrorey, who held a special place in her heart and were loved as daughters.

Rhonda was a proud graduate of Northwestern High School, Class of 73', and later earned her bachelors degree in social work from Winthrop University. Throughout her professional career, she worked for Belk, Duke Energy, Bank of America, and retired from York County Family Court, where she faithfully served her community.

While Rhonda deeply loved her family, nothing was more important to her than her faith in God. She was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in numerous capacities, including Treasurer, Trustee, Usher, Stewardship Ministry, Pastor's Aide, and Willing Worker. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed and was a dedicated servant of both God and her church family.

Rhonda, Deborah, and Courtney shared a special bond and were often inseparable. A few years later, the family circle grew with the arrival of her youngest sidekick, Avery. Unable to pronounce "Rhonda," Avery affectionately called her "Rara," a name that remained close to both their hearts. Avery quickly became the highlight of Rhonda's day, and their bond was filled with unconditional love, laughter, and cherished memories. Avery loved her Rara just as deeply as Rara loved her.

Rhonda's life was a testament to faith, service, love, and devotion. She touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her family, church, and community. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We take comfort in knowing that she has heard the words,

"Well done, thy good and faithful servant," and now rests peacefully in the arms of her Savior.

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." — 2 Corinthians 5:8.
