Mr. Robert (Bobby) Lee Adams passed away on February 13, 2025, entering his heavenly home. Born on December
15, 1949, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, he was predeceased by his parents, Willie James Adams and Helen Josephine Geter Adams-Smith, his brother John Geter, his nephew Karod Hill, and his beloved bonus granddaughter Julianna White.
Bobby was a respected self-taught brick mason who retired in 2023 after a distinguished career that spanned several decades. Known for his exceptional skill and dedication to his craft, he was equally cherished for his generous spirit and friendly demeanor. He never turned away a visitor and his home was always open to those in need. Bobby was a fixture under his favorite tree in Boyd Hill and enjoyed spending time with his friends in Sunset Park. He was a devoted fan of the Washington Commanders (formerly Redskins) and made friends wherever he went.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Harris Adams; children, Robert Morgan, Tamiko Adams, Dewana Barber, Kaleb Adams, and Khalijah Adams; bonus children, Shakeria Johnson (Jeremy), Harold White III (Julisa), David Morgan (Yolanda), and Josh Beasley; siblings, James Adams, Rev. Eunice Wade (Aaron), and Carol Mobley (James); sister/cousin, Jacquelin Kennedy; father-in-law, Donald Roddey (Elizabeth); sisters-in-law, Qwachanda Harris, Shamika Harris, and Tasha Stroud; brother-in-law, Don'Quarter Roddey; grandchildren, LaQuisha Morgan, DeClacius Morgan-Mack (Divia), Tyree Conner, Ni'Asia Davis-Barber, and Anyla Nelson; four great-grandchildren; and numerous bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bobby's life and legacy will be cherished by all who knew him, and his memory will forever be a beacon of warmth.
