Mr. Robert Maurice Campbell was born to the late Robert M. and Vivian M. Campbell. He departed this earthly life on September 14, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Robert was the seventh of nine children and grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He received his education in Montgomery County Public Schools, in Maryland and graduated from Gaithersburg High School. Robert held a host of jobs in the transportation industry. He was a tour bus driver for Academy, Rose, Broach, D.J. Tours, school bus driver for York County schools and lastly, a CATs driver for Charlotte, NC.
He also was a very supportive father to CJ and his bonus sons during their sports and academics activities, as well as other students.
Robert was a member of Grace and Mercy Cathedral Ministries. He was a dedicated usher while at Foundation AME Zion Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Maurice Campbell, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Michelle R. Campbell, his son Civic Jerome Campbell, three bonus sons; Maurice Harrington (Nancy), Brandon Harrington and Joseph Harrington, a "special granddaughter" Ziyan Marjaa and four additional grandchildren, DeNajasai, King, Ariyanna and Brandon; five sisters; Patricia Helms (James), Veronica Campbell, Brenda Campbell Turner (Edward), Helen Brooks (Gilbert) and Ruby Campbell, two brothers; Michael Campbell and Keith Campbell (Keisha) and a step mother, Carolyn Campbell. Seven sisters in laws, five brothers-in-law, a very "special nephew," James (Jim-Jim) Watts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
