Robert "Cabbage" Moore, Jr.

Mr. Robert “Cabbage” Moore Jr., 92, of 1915 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill SC, passed away on December 1,2024 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born on February 24, 1932, to the late Mr. Robert Moore Sr. and Mrs. Nannie Mackey Wilson in York County, South Carolina.

He was educated in the Rock Hill School District and had a 35-year career working at York General Hospital and Piedmont Medical Center, where he retired as a Patient Transporter.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two wives: Ruth Dunlap Moore and Willie Lou Moore; one son, Mr. Donald “Big Boy” Moore, and God sister, Bertha McQuiller.

Robert was a well-known humorous and serious man who loved to tell it like it was with no filter.

He leaves loving memories with his sister, Dorothy Wilson; 4 sons, Willie “Sonny” Moore, Ronald “Weencie” Moore, Gary “Spook” Burris, and Ronald “Jack” Brice; 14 grandkids, a host of great grands, nieces, and nephews; and his special niece, Hester Cole, all of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
