Rosia Lee-Amber “Took”
Knighton
April 22, 1987 – April 29, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rosia Knighton, affectionately known as “Took” and “Ro,” a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who suddenly departed this life on April 29, 2026, at the young age of 39. Rosia’s warm spirit, radiant smile, and loving presence touched the lives of many and left an unforgettable mark on all who knew her.
Rosia was born on April 22, 1987, in Syracuse, New York, to Rose Mary Sledge and Willis Anthony Knighton. From the very beginning, she brought warmth and light into the world. She attended Syracuse City Schools and graduated from Corcoran High School. In 2013, she became a certified phlebotomist and later served as an Assistant Manager at CSL Plasma, where she built lifelong friendships and became beloved by coworkers and donors alike. In 2015, Rosia relocated to Rock Hill, South Carolina, embracing a new chapter filled with growth, opportunity, and happiness.
Rosia had a passion for life and found joy in the simple things. She loved getting lost in a good book, creating delicious meals in the kitchen, and expressing her creativity through coloring and art. Her kindness, compassion, and infectious laughter made everyone around her feel loved and welcomed. She had a genuine heart and an unwavering ability to uplift others, always offering encouragement, comfort, and love.
Above all, Rosia treasured her family. She was a devoted mother to her beloved children, Rozaria Morris and Rayvon Knighton, who were truly the center of her world. She also leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, RoseMary Sledge; her father, Willis Anthony Knighton (Camille); her grandparents, Mary Walker and the late Harrison Walker, along with Louella Knighton and the late James Knighton. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, J.D. Sledge.
Rosia also leaves behind her brothers, Arkim Wilson and Nahum Sledge; her sisters, Tiffany Knighton, Antoinette Knighton, and Ariana Knighton; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the love and memories she shared so freely.
Though her time with us was far too brief, Rosia’s legacy of love, strength, compassion, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
