Sharon Yvonne “Bunchie” Hinton

Ms. Sharon Yvonne “Bunchie” Hinton 64, of 1203 McDow Drive, Rock Hill, South Carolina departed this life on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at her residence. She was born in York County, South Carolina to the late Richard Lee Hinton Sr. and Julia Ann Rollins Hinton.

She was educated in the public schools of York County and graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1977. She worked at Schaeffler as a machine operator for 25 years. Sharon dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Sharon also loved to travel.

She is preceded in death by her father Richard Hinton Sr., brother Steven Heath, maternal grandparent, George Rollins and Clara B. Robbie, and paternal grandparents James and Mattie Hinton.

Sharon leaves to cherish in her loving memory, mother, Julia R. Hinton, children Karla Hinton, Kenisha Hinton, and KeAsia Hinton, grandchildren Kahari Stewart, Tyquavious Hinton, Kevion Eason, Danacia Barnette, Dekebryiona Barnette, Jonquerrius Ross, Kayani Hinton-Shahid, sisters and brothers, Arnette (Samuel) Taswell, Rev. Brenda (James) Stover, Loretta Kirk, Richard L. Hinton Jr., Beverly (Melvin) Robinson, Sherry (Everette) Chisholm, Natasha (Dontae) Walker and James Robinson, Godchildren Janisha Douglas and Abigail Aldridge; aunts and uncles, George Rollins (Helen), Mary Robinson (Rob), Bonnie Robey, Wylie Rollins, Addie Mae Hinton, Minnie Belton, Mary Christine Sauls, Janie Miller (John), James Robert Hinton, Jr., Charles Hinton, James Hinton; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
