Tanisha “Pebbles” Patricia Ellis, born on July 23, 1989, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Sunset was September 28, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She lived in Gastonia, North Carolina since 2022.
Tanisha attended Union Baptist, in Newport, South Carolina from an early age. Tanisha attended and graduated from Rock Hill High in 2007. She graduated from Southeastern University as a Medical Assistant in 2017. Tanisha also attended Kenneth Shuler Cosmetology, developed a passion for implementing Holistic Treatments for her clients. She later created and started her own holistic hair care business. Tanisha dedicated herself to her craft becoming a Holistic Educator for people, which included creating Natural Teas. Tanisha was able to help other develop numerous programs and activities for women that struggled with self-confidence and hair growth. She became a Master Braider and was skilled in her craft.
Tanisha was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Marcella “Nanny” Vinson, great-aunts, Linda Thompson and Mary “Puddin” Johnson.
Tanisha is survived by three children all of the home, whom she loved dearly, Makayla J. Jackson, Mecca E. Ellis, Messiah E. Ellis; her parents, Ontwain G. “Nard” and Devinia E. “Bean” Simpson; her siblings, Ms. Brittany N. Simpson , Ms. Narasha S. Simpson, Ms. Kebra N. Simpson, Mr. Shaquaille L. Simpson, Mrs. Shaquandra S. Meeks (Jewel); grandmothers, Ms. Beverly Simpson, Ms. Patricia A. Ellis; great-grandmother, Bettie S. Johnson; nephews, Bryon Simpson, Brycen Simpson, Brayden Simpson, Maceo Simpson, Shaden Meeks; nieces, Aniyah Simpson, Madsion Simpson, Kalisa Brice; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and other family members left behind to help celebrate her life and legacy.
