Theodore “Ted” Mcconnell

Mr. Theodore “Ted” McConnell, son of Nezzie Coleman McConnell and the late Eddie McConnell, was born on April 17, 1954, in Shelton, South Carolina. He entered eternal rest on Friday, June 14, 2024.

He was a graduate of McCrorey-Liston School in Blair, South Carolina. On November 21, 1976, he was joined in marriage to the love of his life, Barbara Jones, and to this union, Ted and Barbara were blessed with two children. His occupation throughout his life was Master Carpenter. He also helped build Duke Power Nuclear Plant and V.C. Summer Nuclear. After working seventeen years at Celanese, he teamed up with his brother, Eddie at McConnell’s Construction. He took pride in his work and was a perfectionist. If he said that he could fix it, then he could fix it.

He was known for his friendly personality, kindness, and sense of humor. His hobbies were playing golf with his friends and listening to music. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Mr. Theodore “Ted” McConnell leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife of fourty-eight years, Barbara Jones McConnell; his mother, Nezzie McConnell; one son, Marquis McConnell; one daughter, Takisha (Anthony) Burris; four grandchildren, Sincere Wilmore, Xavier McConnell, Gavin Burris, and Gage Burris; three sisters, Ruby (Earl) Moore, Lila Chisholm, and Mary (Larry) Long; two brothers, Pastor Eddie (Kathy) McConnell and John McConnell; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
