Valerie J. Truesdale, affectionately known as "Fat Cat," enjoyed cooking, reading, taking care of family, and the PA Steelers.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Calvin E. Truesdale and Danny Sanders; her father, Calvin Truesdale Sr.; her mother, Mattie C. Sanders; her stepfather, Leroy Sanders; and her special angel niece, Ya'Loni Mackey.

She is survived by her son, Ramon S. Truesdale, and her stepmother, Rena Faye Truesdale.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers: Anthony Jones; Tim Jones (Jackie), Elroy Sanders, David Hemphill, Tim Hemphill (Angela), John Hemphill, Sammy Peoples, Kenny Hope (Anita), Thomas McNeil (Sandra) and Bishop Kenneth Page.

Her sisters include: Pamela I. Durham, Cindy Rabon (Lonnie), Kenyata Gregory, Deana Jones, Kimberly Hinton, Michelle Himphill, Jackie Hemphill, Gloria Jones, Laura Feaster, Pamela Daniels and Pamela Miller.

She lovingly raised: Courtnie Steele; Jacqueline Shuranda Truesdale; Armani Truesdale; Sharod Truesdale; Tierrah Robinson; Shonterriona Mackey; Darius House; Jakari Truesdale; and Janiya Cunningham.

She was also blessed with godchildren: D'Nique Gregory; Kyania Jackson; Mario Brice; Yvonne McCullough; Quay Witherspoon; De’ Asia Burris; Latonya Hall; and Daquita Marshall.
