Verneita Smith

Verneita Smith 81, has been called home. She peacefully passed on June 1, 2024. She was born to John Levi Smith and Jannie Seabraks on March 18, 1943 at Harlem Hospital.

Verneita was raised in Harlem with her 8 siblings. She was a proud resident of New York and later Rock Hill, SC. She worked as a health care professional for 30 years.

Verneita was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and first born Joan.

She is survived by four children; Nathaniel, David, Lennot, and Myra. Seven grandchildren; Deyshia, Ymani, David Jr., Unique, Tarik, Christian, and Lance. Six great grandchildren: Mikey, Ebony, Leah, Ahmon, Tamir, and Emily as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
