Wanda Lorraine Reed

Wanda Lorraine Reed, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and niece, peacefully left our world on December 7, 2024, at the age of 63. Wanda accepted Christ into her life at an early age and exemplified honesty, forgiveness, and steadfast love. She was a gift God called back to his home.

Wanda was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Mother Josephine Elms Arrington and Father Johnny Arrington on September 21,

1961. She grew up in Oakland, California where she completed high school and college, earning a degree in Administration of Justice. Wanda was full of love, laughter, and resilience and touched the lives of all who knew her. She modeled real-life lessons of accepting others for who they are, not judging, and loving unconditionally. She had a vibrant spirit full of life and energy. Her work ethic was unparalleled; She approached every job with dedication and tenacity, leaving a lasting impression on those who had the privilege to work alongside her.

Wanda had a special affinity for butterflies, which symbolize transformation and beauty. The color yellow, bright and cheerful was her favorite, reflecting her sunny disposition and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone around her.

Wanda leaves behind her children, Rwanda Reed and Deshawn Williams; Her mother, Josephine Roland; brother, Anthony Arrington; nephew, Anthony Arrington Jr.; aunt, Norma Elms; uncle, Ralph Elms; cousin, Reginald Elms; and several cousins and family friends. Though her time with us has come to an end, the legacy of love she leaves behind will continue to flourish in the hearts of those she touched. We will forever cherish her memory and the lessons she imparted.
