William Jerome “Ronnie” Kirk

With deep love, praise, and heartfelt adoration, we honor and celebrate the beautiful life of William Jerome "Ronnie" Kirk. He was born on July 5, 1956, in Rock Hill, South Carolina to the late James Kirk, Sr. and Rosa Lee Curbeam Kirk. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Atrium Health-Main in Charlotte, North Carolina.

He was educated in the Rock Hill Public Schools and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1976. He was employed with York County for twenty years. He was a lifelong member of First Calvary Baptist Church and a member of Heritage Lodge #9 Burial Society. He liked cars and watching wrestling.

"Ronnie" was preceded in death by seven siblings: Willie Ruth Wright, Lillian Kirk, Jerry Kirk, Elijal Kirk, Cleveland Kirk, Richard Kirk, and James Kirk, Jr.; and two brothers-in-law, Roy Chambers and James McMullen.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, LaShamanda Ivey (Teron Watkins) of Charlotte, NC, Danielle Kirk-Hudson (Walter) of Clover, SC, and Brittany Kirk (Tony Chapman) of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, Nazaira L. Kirk-Hudson, Cameron D. Hudson, Jordyn W. Kirk, and Jizelle S. Kirk; lifelong friend and mother of his children, Joyce L. Kirk of Fort Mill. SC; four sisters, Rosemary Chambers and Carrie McMullen, both of Rock Hill; Marilyn House (James) of Clayton, NC, and Renee Allen of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Robert Lee Strong (Denise) of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters-in-law, Katie Kirk and Kathleen Kirk, both of Rock Hill; one brother-in-law, Joe Wright of Rock Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
